LONDON/NEW YORK, 21st October 2019 – Amazon Music and the upcoming Sony Pictures Entertainment movie, Charlie’s Angels, will be sponsors of the 2019 MTV EMAs. As sponsors, both Amazon Music and Sony Pictures will be uniquely connecting with more than 350m fans in 180 countries across multiple platforms through the power of live entertainment.
MTV’s biggest global music event – fusing sheer scale, unmissable moments and star power across the realms of music, film, fashion, sport and popular culture – will take place in Spain’s Andalucian capital city, Seville, on Sunday 3rd November, live from the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre.
This year’s MTV EMAs main show will be sponsored by music streaming service, Amazon Music. Confirmed activity includes on-air, digital and an on-the-ground MTV EMAs city take-over marketing campaign in Seville. In addition, for the first time, Amazon Music will exclusively sponsor the EMAs ‘Best New’ award category, which in past years has been won by breakthrough artists such as Zara Larsson, Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars and One Direction.

The MTV EMA Red Carpet Presented by “Charlie’s Angels” will feature the film’s logo throughout and includes sponsorship of the EMAs ‘Best Look’ award, which last year was won by Nicki Minaj.
“Through its unrivalled star power and sheer scale, the MTV EMAs is uniquely placed to offer Amazon Music and Sony Pictures an unmatched opportunity to connect with millions of hard to reach fans on every screen and in real life,” commented Lee Sears, Senior Vice President & Head of Viacom Velocity. “Generating a consistent uplift in brand awareness it’s no surprise that partners return year after year and our category scope has broadened to include a wide range of brands looking for guaranteed high-impact cut-through.”
